Wano-Shoku Co., Ltd. will hold a pre-release sale of 'Kuro no Gohoubi,' a black Japanese-style dessert featuring black sesame, black beans, soy milk, Yoshino kudzu, inulin, and lactic acid bacteria, at Kintetsu Department Store Abeno Harukas Main Store from June 17 to 23, 2026. General sales are scheduled for late June 2026. 'Kuro no Gohoubi' contains 95kcal per 90g can. It is a sophisticated black dessert for adults, layering the aroma of black sesame, the gentle sweetness of black beans, the mellowness of soy milk, and the smooth texture of Yoshino kudzu. This product was not born merely as a new sweet. The background of its development was the struggle with eating that the creator witnessed within their own family. Seeing a loved one who wanted to eat sweets but couldn't do so honestly, the creator developed this product with the belief that 'one shouldn't have to remove the time to enjoy sweets from their life.' The inspiration came from a family member's atopic dermatitis and a mother's physical changes after menopause. Another trigger was the development of a new souvenir for Toyama. Inspired by 'Toyama Black' ramen, a symbol of Toyama's food culture, the creator reimagined it as a new 'black' that cares for the bodies and feelings of women today. By using black sesame, black beans, soy milk, Yoshino kudzu, inulin, and lactic acid bacteria, the goal was to create satisfaction through aroma, texture, and aftertaste rather than just sweetness. It doesn't have to be every day; it's okay to give yourself a reward sometimes. The creator hopes this product provides that moment of relief.
