Why Learn "Philosophy" at Wao High School?
In this era of diversity and change, there are no absolute answers given. Therefore, the ability to shape the future society with rich knowledge and flexible thinking is essential. "Philosophy" is a language game that continuously refines "thinking" by seeking "universally valid" definitions of human activities. By re-examining the society we live in from a philosophical perspective, the world we see can appear completely different, and even familiar social issues can be viewed from a new perspective. With the desire for high school students to have such an "eye-opening" experience, we conduct classes that involve repeated dialogue and thorough "thinking."
