Participating Shops
Kissa Soiree (Kyoto, Kawaramachi)
People come from all over the country for the dreamlike, fantastical drink at Kawaramachi "Soiree," where five jellies in blue, red, yellow, green, and purple colors adorn clear soda water.
The name means "evening party" in French. The gentle Takase River flows in front of the shop, and the interior is filled with blue light that beautifully illuminates people's faces.
The shop card, designed by the painter Seiji Togo, who loved this space, is also a must-see.

Unzen (Kyoto, Shijo)
Once open only on Sundays, Shijo "Unzen" now lights up on weekdays as well.
The shop's name comes from the hometown of the founder in Saga Prefecture. They offer dishes like dry curry with a spicy sansho pepper kick and hotcakes, which are particularly moist and chewy, making them easy to eat any number of them.
The innermost seat in the shop, which was also a filming location for the movie "Antarctica," is said to have been an air-raid shelter.

Arabiya Coffee (Osaka, Namba)
"Arabiya Coffee" in Namba is located off the main bustling shopping street.
Loved by many, from professional baseball players to cultural figures, this shop boasts its own roasted coffee, sweet treats like French toast cheesecake and pudding, and the charmingly cheerful disposition of the owner couple.
It is also known among international tourists, and is often full from the moment it opens.

"Coffee Bigaku Abe" has become a landmark of Matsumoto Station, with queues forming from its opening at 7 AM.
This space, loved by locals and travelers alike, is adorned with well-maintained antique furnishings that exude a sense of history, polished to a warm amber hue.
If you visit in the morning, be sure to try their breakfast, which offers endless combinations.
Their signature menu item, "Mocha Cream Au Lait," where you can watch the performance of coffee and milk being poured right in front of you, is also recommended.

Lupra Coffee (Osaka, Uehonmachi)
Founded in 1974, "Lupra" in Uehonmachi derives its name from the French word for "vessel" and the Irish fairy "leprechaun."
While enjoying the view of the meticulously maintained garden, which changes its appearance with the seasons, you can savor delicious and beautiful dishes created with a unique perspective by the second-generation owner, who gained experience at Italian restaurants.
They pair perfectly with the carefully roasted coffee brewed in the adjacent roasting room.

Trois Bagues (Tokyo, Jimbocho)
Located in the basement near the Jimbocho intersection, "Trois Bagues" in Jimbocho offers a calm atmosphere with plush red velvet sofas.
They serve coffee meticulously brewed one cup at a time using aネル drip (flannel drip) method, along with a rich selection of sandwiches and sweets to pair with it.
In particular, their "Gratin Toast," made following the original recipe, has an addictive flavor that will keep you coming back.
It's a great place to relax and read a book alone, or to invite someone for a chat.

Saboru (Tokyo, Jimbocho)
"Saboru" has been loved in the Jimbocho area for over 70 years since its founding in 1955.
With its mountain cabin-like exterior covered in trees, it features eye-catching elements like a rare red payphone and a giant totem pole.
The interior is divided into a semi-basement, first floor, and mezzanine, and is decorated with folk crafts from various regions.
Enjoy a colorful cream soda while reading the "graffiti" covering the walls, a relic of the Showa era.

The view from the large window on the second floor is like a painting.
Their signature dish is the "Ceylon-style Curry Rice," made with the same recipe since its founding.
