Waterstand & Miyota Town Sign Pact for Reusable Bottles & Heatstroke Prevention

Waterstand Inc., a water purifier rental company, has partnered with Miyota Town in Nagano Prefecture to promote the use of reusable bottles and prevent heatstroke. Under the agreement signed on May 20, 2026, Waterstand will provide technology and expertise to support the town's installation of water dispensers compatible with reusable bottles. This initiative aims to reduce single-use plastic waste and ensure proper hydration among residents. Miyota Town has been actively pursuing decarbonization and a circular lifestyle as part of its 'Miyota Town 6th Long-Term Promotion Plan.' The town is also focusing on heatstroke countermeasures and climate change adaptation through its 'Severe Heat and Climate Change Project.' Waterstand's 'Bottle Free Project' aligns with these goals, offering an eco-friendly water supply system that utilizes tap water. By expanding this initiative nationwide, Waterstand seeks to mitigate global warming by reducing plastic waste and CO2 emissions.
