Japanese Standards Association (JSA) Announces Commencement of Agency Sales for Japan Electric Wire and Cable Makers Association Standards (JCS) and Technical Documents

The Japanese Standards Association (JSA), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, with President Hiroshi Asahi, has commenced agency sales of the Japan Electric Wire and Cable Makers Association Standards (JCS) and technical documents (PDF format) developed by the Japan Electric Wire and Cable Makers Association (JCMA). The sales will be available on the 'JSA Webdesk' platform operated by JSA, starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Through this collaboration, JSA aims to further enhance the convenience of its platform as a provider of domestic association standards.

Background and Objectives

The Japanese Standards Association (JSA) has been actively promoting standardization activities both domestically and internationally, including the dissemination of Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).

JCS standards are widely used in Japan as complementary standards to JIS or as specialized standards developed upon request from user groups. Technical documents, compiled by the Japan Electric Wire and Cable Makers Association, are also extensively utilized across the industry.

By consolidating these important JCS standards and technical documents onto the JSA platform, the following objectives are targeted:

Enhanced Convenience: Enable one-stop search and purchase of JCS alongside JIS, ISO, IEC standards, and other association standards.

Expanded Awareness: Promote broader dissemination and utilization of JCS standards and technical documents through JSA's extensive network.
