Wedding Park Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Seigo Hijishiki) is pleased to announce that the cumulative number of contracts for its Hospitality Automation Business (OA Business), developed by the Value Development Division, has surpassed 300.

For approximately 20 years, our company has been contributing to the development of the industry by connecting couples with wedding venues through services such as our word-of-mouth information site. Based on the industry challenges we've identified throughout this journey, we are creating new value centered on "Hospitality Automation." To enhance the experiential value for couples, we support operational efficiency and standardization through the power of technology and design, creating systemic space for everyone working at wedding venues to focus on "hospitality that only humans can provide" and "value creation."

Currently, we offer services that resolve information disparities between wedding venues and couples, focusing on "cost transparency" and "visualization of couples' true feelings." Our efforts have resonated, leading to the recent milestone of exceeding 300 contracts.

About the Hospitality Automation Business and Services Offered

The Hospitality Automation Business currently offers three services: the estimation service "mieruupark," which allows couples to simulate wedding costs before visiting a venue; the customer service support tool "mierepo," which can present actual examples and costs from past couples; and the "pontone!" tool, which uses an intuitive questionnaire to naturally verbalize couples' true feelings and concerns.

An example of "cost transparency" leading to increased visitor and contract rates. The wedding cost simulation service "mieruupark"

When choosing a wedding venue, cost is a source of anxiety for many couples. On the other hand, the industry has often held the view that "disclosing prices makes venues easier to compare, leading to fewer visits."

"mieruupark" provides a system that allows couples to simulate the total cost based on the venue's official pricing data and past performance *before* their venue visit. By understanding the costs in advance, couples can approach venue visits with peace of mind, and venues can focus on personalized proposals for each client after addressing cost-related concerns.

Feedback from couples who have used "mieruupark" includes comments like, "Because it was clear what costs what, I felt we could have a wedding that was true to ourselves by making choices," and "Being able to see data from cases where couples actually held their weddings at that venue made it easier to visualize, and it became the deciding factor in choosing the venue."

Furthermore, venues that have implemented "mieruupark" have seen a 13% increase in visitor rates and a 7.7% increase in contract rates as a result of reduced couple anxiety due to cost visualization. This demonstrates that increasing price transparency, contrary to the industry's past practice of "hiding prices," leads to building trust with customers and achieving results.

"Cost and Image" Transparency Enhances Planner Proposal Quality with "mierepo"

"mierepo" is a customer service support tool that visualizes "images" and "costs" in a report format based on actual examples from past couples.

Our research*2 revealed that while couples expressed concerns such as "it's hard to imagine the final wedding cost" and "I don't know how much each item costs," venue planners also stated, "it's difficult to convey the value of each product behind the price." This indicates that communicating costs is a challenge during customer interactions.

"mierepo" was developed to address these mutual challenges. By allowing users to view reports with photos of flowers, catering, attire, etc., and their corresponding actual costs based on past couples' "real examples," it enables the simultaneous presentation of the completed wedding image and its cost. This allows couples to refine their considerations with greater clarity, and makes it easier for planners to concretely propose value that is difficult to convey through price alone.

In this way, "mierepo" supports satisfactory communication for both couples and venues by visualizing "images" and "costs."

"Visualization of True Feelings" Supports Personalized Service and Operational Improvement with "pontone!"

"pontone!" is a tool for uncovering true feelings that allows couples to naturally express thoughts they find difficult to convey directly to the venue, or feelings they themselves were not aware of, through an intuitive questionnaire completed in as little as approximately 1.5 minutes immediately after a bridal fair. As a third-party tool, it provides a safe environment for responses, supporting the "transparency of true feelings."

Our survey*3 found that over 60% of couples had experienced not being able to express their doubts or discomfort during a venue visit, and approximately 85% responded that "resolving discomfort or ambiguity felt during a visit would increase the likelihood of choosing that venue." This shows that understanding true feelings early on and connecting them to appropriate communication leads to improved customer experience.

Feedback from couples who have used "pontone!" includes comments such as, "It was good to be able to speak my true feelings, as there were things I hadn't thought of directly, or things that were a bit difficult to say at the time," and "It was good to have a tool that allowed us to convey our honest feelings to everyone at the venue."

Furthermore, the data obtained through "pontone!" is utilized for overall venue operational improvement. In one venue, "pontone!" revealed significant anxiety about "increases in cost from the initial estimate." Consequently, they improved their customer service to include explanations on the range of price fluctuations for items like catering and attire, and methods to achieve their budget. As a result, satisfaction with estimates increased by 20% month-on-month, and the contract rate for first-time visitors improved by 5%. Thus, "pontone!" not only deepens understanding of individual customers by visualizing true feelings but is also used to improve the overall hospitality quality of venues.

Towards Creating New Societal Value Starting with Enhanced Couple Experience

The OA Business is working to create an environment where everyone working at venues can provide higher quality hospitality, starting with enhancing the couple's experience. By visualizing "hard-to-see information" such as costs, images, and true feelings, couples can confidently consider and prepare for their wedding, and venues can dedicate more time to personalized proposals and hospitality that only humans can provide.

Moving forward, through "Hospitality Automation," we aim to create a cycle where enhanced couple experience leads to improved venue hospitality quality, the development of the entire industry, and the creation of new value for society.

Minami Nagai, Strategic Manager, OA Business, Value Development Division, Comments

We interpret reaching the milestone of 300 contracts as a reflection of the expectations of wedding venues that resonate with the concept of Hospitality Automation and are working with us.

The wedding industry is facing various changes, such as labor shortages and diversifying values. However, the essence of hospitality – understanding each customer's feelings and background to provide the optimal proposal – remains unchanged.

We provide systems to support hospitality that only humans can provide, rather than replacing human work with technology. In doing so, we want to create moments together where couples can find their wonderful wedding and celebrate their best milestones.

We will continue to contribute to enhanced couple experience, improved venue service quality, and the sustainable development of the industry through "Hospitality Automation," creating new value together with our partner companies.
