World Matcha Inc., the company behind 'CUZEN MATCHA', which delivers freshly ground domestic organic matcha to the world, has announced that its Matcha Maker Pro has won the Future of Foods award at the San Francisco Design Week Awards 2026. This marks the brand's second time receiving this award, following the original model's win in 2020.
The Matcha Maker Pro employs a unique structure that grinds organic domestic tea leaves (tencha) while whisking them. While inheriting the technology and aesthetics of the home model, it has been optimized for commercial environments such as offices, cafes, hotels, and restaurants. It grinds and whisks a shot of fresh matcha in approximately 40 seconds at the press of a button and supports the simultaneous extraction of two cups.
The product was evaluated on the following three points: 1. Consumer Behavior: A shift in caffeine consumption from coffee to matcha, particularly among Generation Z. 2. Environmental Impact: Significant reduction in disposable plastic waste, such as plastic bottles and pods, by grinding tea leaves on-site for each cup. 3. Production System: Minimizing transportation costs and environmental impact by eliminating the need to transport heavy liquid beverages, instead transporting only lightweight tea leaves, while ensuring freshness.
The Matcha Maker Pro is already being implemented in major global technology companies and luxury facilities.
