Official Report: 'STEINS;GATE Symphony of Causal Melodies', the First Full Orchestra Concert for 'Steins;Gate'

The Steins;Gate Orchestra Concert Executive Committee held 'STEINS;GATE Symphony of Causal Melodies,' the first full orchestra concert for 'STEINS;GATE,' on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Mori no Hall 21 in Chiba.

'STEINS;GATE' is an adventure game released by MAGES. Inc. in 2009. While the series has expanded widely through game sequels, anime, theatrical films, and stage plays, this marks its first event with a full orchestra.

The concert featured 'diverging setlists' reflecting the game's world-line settings: the day performance centered on the 'Beta world-line' with 'STEINS;GATE 0' songs, while the night performance centered on the 'Alpha world-line' with 'STEINS;GATE' songs. The concert was conducted by Kenichi Shimura and performed by the Tokyo Nihonbashi Symphony Orchestra.

The first half of the concert followed a common route, with the second half branching into the respective world-lines. Music emphasized the emotions and dramatic shifts of the story, synced with game footage projected on a screen. Voice actress Asami Imai, who plays Kurisu Makise, served as the MC. Special guests included Kanako Ito and Ayumu (Zwei), who captivated the audience with vocal performances accompanied by the orchestra.

The second half featured songs from 'STEINS;GATE 0,' such as 'Amadeus' and 'Lyra.' During the encore, a medley including 'Skyclad Observer' was performed, wrapping the venue in a wave of emotion.
