Yachiyo Engineering to Participate as Platinum Partner in "Global Nature Positive Summit 2026"

Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsutomu Takahashi), which provides the consulting service "Sustainability Navi" to support corporate sustainability management, will participate as a Platinum Partner in the international conference "Global Nature Positive Summit 2026" to be held at Kumamoto Castle Hall (Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City) from July 14 (Tue) to 15 (Wed), 2026.

At this summit, our experts will speak at four official sessions, and we will also exhibit at the co-located exhibition "NATURE TECH!" to share our initiatives for visualizing the state of natural capital on a watershed scale and implementing nature positivity. We are also scheduled to participate in a closed-door high-level meeting (for stakeholders and sponsors only).

About the Global Nature Positive Summit 2026

The Global Nature Positive Summit is an international conference where leaders from corporations, financial institutions, local governments, researchers, and civil society gather to accelerate action towards achieving "nature positivity," which means halting and reversing nature loss. It serves as an important forum preceding the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in October 2026, where concrete approaches by private companies will be presented and cross-sectoral dialogue will take place.

Background of Participation

Discussions surrounding natural capital are shifting focus from improving disclosure to generating concrete results, driven by the spread of frameworks like TNFD. This summit is also an important venue for demonstrating concrete actions and results for achieving nature positivity to the world.

Based on the technologies cultivated in social infrastructure development and our knowledge of natural sciences, we provide comprehensive support, not limited to disclosure support, but also including on-site implementation of measures to avoid, reduce, and restore impacts on nature, and even systematization including financial connections. This approach of "not ending with disclosure, but taking responsibility for implementation" deeply aligns with the philosophy and objectives of this summit.

With this understanding, we will participate in this summit as a Platinum Partner and actively contribute to the realization of a society that coexists with nature.

Speaking at Four Official Sessions

At this summit, we will speak at a total of four sessions: two sub-sessions and two official side events. With "not ending with disclosure, but taking responsibility for implementation" as a consistent theme, we will present our initiatives from on-site implementation based on visualization of watersheds, groundwater, and ecosystems to systematization in a multifaceted manner.

We will exhibit a booth with the theme "Connecting Companies and Regions for Nature Positivity in Watersheds" at the exhibition "NATURE TECH!" (Organizer: Nikkei BP, Free Admission), held concurrently with this summit. We will visualize the overlap of nature, infrastructure, and human activities in watersheds by dividing them into multiple layers.
