This dialogue session is held in conjunction with the "Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 (GNPS 2026, Dates: July 14-16, 2026, Kumamoto City)" and is planned and operated by the preparatory team for the establishment of Sanpoyoshi Partners.

Background of the Event

Towards achieving nature positive (stopping the loss of nature and shifting to recovery), an increasing number of companies and regions are working on measuring, analyzing, and disclosing information related to water risks and biodiversity. These efforts in measurement, recording, and disclosure are important foundations for understanding the state of nature and leading to countermeasures.

On the other hand, disclosure frameworks such as TNFD (Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures: an international framework for companies to assess and disclose their dependencies and impacts on nature) aim not for disclosure itself to be the goal, but to change the flow of capital and decision-making starting from disclosure. Nature's recovery is only achieved when the disclosed information is reflected in the judgments of companies and financial institutions, leading to capital and systems that support the people and jobs that continue to protect nature on the ground.

This dialogue session is a forum for discussion on the theme of "beyond disclosure." Using the fishway of the Aichi River flowing through Shiga Prefecture as a case study, participants will discuss in small groups, transcending their respective positions, how to foster the people, jobs, relationships, and capital that will oversee and continue to support the structure, viewing its completion not as an "end" but as a "beginning."
