YADOKARI Co., Ltd. (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representatives: Seita Uesugi, Issei Sawadai) has announced that "YADOKARI VILLAGE Kitakaruizawa," a base for accommodation and living utilizing trailer houses, has reached its first anniversary since its grand opening in July 2025.

We look back on the past year spent in the quiet forest at the northern foot of Mount Asama, and are pleased to announce a special anniversary plan and a dedicated 1st anniversary website.

Kitakaruizawa, with its views of the majestic Mount Asama and surrounded by rich nature, is a special place close to where I grew up. YADOKARI VILLAGE Kitakaruizawa embodies our long-held desire for "living small, living richly" and an aesthetic of spending time in nature. "We stayed with our beloved dog. Beyond the large windows framing the surrounding nature, we saw the swaying trees and occasional birds flying by. Each time, our dog would rush to the window, incredibly excited. They also ran around to their heart's content in the dog run, showing a happy expression throughout. Time spent in nature seemed special not only for us but also for our dog. Watching them have such a good time was the ultimate luxury."

"We had a BBQ in the evening, and initially struggled to get the fire started. But even that became a wonderful memory. Of course, once the fire was going, the meal was delicious. Since it's an extraordinary experience, a few things not going smoothly is acceptable, and I think the natural environment and accommodations allow for that. I highly recommend the sauna. Everyone should definitely try the sauna. It's truly luxurious to have a sauna in the middle of nature."

"It was our first bonfire experience with my dog. As it got chilly after sunset, we sat around the bonfire, held my dog, and drank while watching the flames. New Building "Ahahi no Hanare" Scheduled to Open (Around Autumn 2026)

"Ahahi no Hanare," a new, single-unit building connecting two trailer houses with a wooden deck, is scheduled to open for general accommodation around Autumn 2026. Located in a quiet area surrounded by trees with the sound of a flowing river, it is a new initiative designed for group stays.

*In YADOKARI VILLAGE, "ahahi" is an archaic word meaning the "interval" between things. It refers to time and space that enriches life by moving between and experiencing opposing boundaries, such as urban and rural, human and nature, and home and lodging.
