This product allows users to easily make authentic dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi stock) rich in dashi by simply adding eggs and microwaving. It is released as a mini size of the popular "Dashimaki Tamago Mix for Microwave," which has been well-received since its launch.

Background of Launch

Amidst the increase in dual-income households and single-person households, and the diversification of lifestyles, demand for microwave-cookable products that can be prepared easily is growing. In response to these rising needs, the market for products where ingredients are added to microwave-compatible packaging and then cooked continues to expand.

Yamaki launched "Dashimaki Tamago Mix for Microwave" as part of the "Rakuchinya®" series in February 2025. With Yamaki's commitment to dashi as a "bonito flake and dashi specialist," the product incorporates plenty of dashi into the eggs, achieving a taste where dashi spreads generously and a fluffy texture that is difficult to replicate at home. The amount of dashi liquid included in this product (※) is more than twice that of dashimaki tamago made using our "Kappo Shiromaru" dashi stock according to our official recipe.

3 Just add eggs and microwave. Easy preparation and cleanup

Dashimaki tamago can be made by simply whisking eggs, mixing them in the bag, and microwaving. The microwave heating time is 3 minutes and 10 seconds (at 600W), so the entire process, including mixing the eggs, can be completed in under 5 minutes. There is no need for a frying pan or spatula, and no need to adjust heat, making it easy to prepare even on busy days or for those new to cooking.
