YKK AP Dalian Holds 25th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony

Dalian Yoshida Building Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "YKK AP Dalian"), a overseas affiliate of YKK AP Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Akira Uozumi), held a ceremony on July 8 to commemorate 25 years of operations.

Established in July 2001 as the first overseas base for YKK AP's operations in China, YKK AP Dalian has deeply rooted itself in the local community by expanding employment and contributing to the development of the construction materials industry.

Initially focused on manufacturing resin windows for the domestic Chinese market, the company shifted under YKK AP's global strategy to become a core supplier of "resin bar materials" for resin windows and interior renovation windows in the Japanese market. Today, it has grown into a vital hub for resin-based materials serving Japan. In recent years, it has also begun supplying thermal break components used in aluminum profile insulated windows for the Chinese market. By in-house manufacturing of complex-shaped thermal break materials within aluminum profiles, the company contributes to high insulation performance and cost competitiveness demanded in China.

Beyond manufacturing capabilities, YKK AP Dalian has significantly expanded its engineering functions, including CAD operations supporting new product development in Japan and China, and window installation drawing creation for commercial buildings in Japan. With approximately 300 employees today, the site has evolved into a unique facility combining manufacturing with advanced drafting services.

The commemorative ceremony featured a special video highlighting 25 years of challenges and achievements, as well as an award ceremony honoring long-serving employees who have contributed to the company's growth, expressing deep gratitude to all participants.

Under its 7th Mid-Term Business Plan, YKK AP Dalian aims to expand sales through strengthening cost competitiveness in existing domains and entering new export and domestic-demand businesses. The company will continue to reduce environmental impact by maintaining a 100% internal recycling rate. In the 2026 fiscal year, it plans to obtain China's highest environmental certification, the "National Green Factory Certification." Additionally, it is actively promoting smart factory initiatives, including AI-powered automated inspection systems, to support integrated production. Moving forward, YKK AP Dalian will continue its business activities contributing to local communities, aligned with YKK AP's purpose: "We Build a Better Society Through Architectural Products.
