HOZO design launched the 'HOZO NeoSander' project on the Japanese crowdfunding platform Makuake on May 19, 2026.
Already popular in North America, the NeoSander is a palm-sized sander powered by high-speed linear reciprocating motion, specifically engineered for precision detail work. Unlike conventional rotary tools, its linear motion allows for easier access to intricate areas and offers stable control.
Key features include: - Linear Reciprocating Motion: Eliminates loss associated with rotation, efficiently covering surfaces while maintaining precise contact. - Precision and Control: Powered by a linear motor, it achieves up to 13,000 strokes per minute with an adjustable stroke length from 0.6mm to 1.8mm. - Efficient Sanding System: Features 8 color-coded heads and matching sandpaper grits, allowing for rapid swapping without the need to peel and stick adhesives. - Versatility: Can be used as a mini reciprocating saw by attaching a dedicated saw blade. - Low-Vibration Design: A counterweight system cancels out the majority of vibrations, reducing hand strain during delicate tasks.
The project runs until July 31, 2026.
