Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will host "Disco Brick YOKOHAMA," a music event inspired by the global disco boom of the 1970s and 1980s, for the first time. The event will take place for a total of 16 days from August 8, 2026 (Sat) to August 23, 2026 (Sun) at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza.

This event will offer a night entertainment experience where guests can enjoy authentic music by top DJs active both domestically and internationally, in a world reminiscent of "disco" from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. It aims to create a space where everyone, regardless of age or nationality, can enjoy themselves together, from those who experienced disco culture firsthand to younger generations fascinated by retro culture and international tourists.
The venue will feature a bar counter to further enhance the excitement of the disco atmosphere. With a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, guests can enjoy the Yokohama night in their own style, accompanied by music.
To ensure comfort even during the hot summer, mist will be continuously provided around the DJ booth, and on paid admission days, "cooling effects" using ice pillars will be implemented. It will be a liberating summer space where guests can enjoy both music and coolness.
By promoting the "nighttime economy" and aiming to invigorate Yokohama, this event, held in the relatively cooler evening hours at the historic Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, allows attendees to immerse themselves in music while feeling the sea breeze.
Running concurrently with "Red Brick Sunset 2026," which offers an overseas resort feel, "Disco Brick YOKOHAMA" aims to be a new "night playground" that can be easily visited as a conclusion to a Yokohama tour or a relaxing stop after work, showcasing the charm of Yokohama in the summer.

Venue Image
A dazzling large BOX will appear in the seaside area of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Passing through an entrance adorned with neon signs, guests will be greeted by a DJ booth with mirror balls and lasers, and a dance floor to enjoy the music.
This venue recreates the world of disco from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, when young people, aspiring to be cool, gathered nightly and danced "all night long" in a "fever." This event aims to create a space centered around the "raw yet overwhelmingly passionate groove" that swirled on the dance floors of that era.
Experience disco culture casually & authentically! Popular DJs active in club scenes worldwide and in Japan will appear one after another
With the desire to let "many people casually experience disco culture," admission will not be charged on all days; some free days will be offered. On paid days, top DJs active both domestically and internationally, including Takkyu Ishino and CAPTAIN VINYL (DJ NORI + MURO), will perform. The versatile selections by these top DJs will cover the lineage of dance music, extending to techno, house, and reggae. Enjoy an exciting night where the fervor of that era intersects with contemporary performances.
On free days, DJs who electrify venues at events across the country will perform and liven up the event. This provides an opportunity for a wide range of people to casually drop by after work or sightseeing, experience the "joy of music," reminisce about "night culture from the 1970s to 1980s," and become interested in it. For a more authentic music experience, guests are encouraged to attend on paid days featuring top DJs and enjoy a different atmosphere from the free days.

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will also host "Red Brick Sunset 2026" concurrently with "Disco Brick YOKOHAMA," offering an overseas resort experience. Leveraging its open location, the event's concept is to "experience exoticism" while in Yokohama, and this year marks its 19th occurrence. Last year, approximately 610,000 people visited, and it has been well-received as a "summer tradition" of Yokohama, both within and outside the prefecture.
(※1) Calculated from the number of visitors to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Buildings 1 & 2.
In recent years, the event has been themed around popular resort destinations worldwide, such as "Thailand," "Latin America," and "the Mediterranean." This year's theme is "Santa Monica," a popular resort destination on the West Coast of the United States. To provide a sense of coolness amidst the hot days, the venue is designed to evoke "Sunset Beach" in Santa Monica, expressing the sophisticated cityscape and a "retro-cute" pop and colorful world.
