Regarding the runner recruitment that began on Wednesday, April 8th, applications for the full marathon priority slots, special changing area plan, and Bay Highway Run closed on Wednesday, May 6th. Applications for the full marathon general slots and other events closed on Sunday, May 17th, and applications for the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) slots closed on Sunday, May 31st.

As of May 31st, the total number of applicants across all events reached 55,330, with 33,963 for the full marathon. This is an increase of approximately 11,000 applicants compared to last year.

We are sequentially notifying applicants of the results, but we understand that many were unable to have their preferences met.

We kindly ask for your continued interest in some of the currently open application slots and for future events.

Additionally, applications for the Charity Slots, Overseas Resident Slots, and Accommodation Plans with Guaranteed Entry are being accepted until Wednesday, June 24th.
