Kawasaki Racecourse Announces 'Natsuyomatsuri 2026' Summer Festival

Yomiuriland Co., Ltd. will host the 'Kawasaki Racecourse Natsuyomatsuri 2026 (Summer Night Festival 2026)' on Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, at the Kawasaki Racecourse (Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki City), which it operates. The summer festival aims to foster community engagement and pass down traditional Japanese festival culture—such as Bon dancing and festival stalls—to younger generations, and has become a summer tradition.

On August 3, the first 2026 installment of 'Green Carpet Theater in Kawasaki Racecourse' will be co-hosted—an outdoor movie event utilizing the massive Kawasaki Dream Vision screen. The film 'Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Kingdom of the Sky and Two Friends' (2025, 1h 8min) will be screened for free.
