Tokushima Prefecture has been actively promoting internal DX (Digital Transformation) to enhance citizen services and enable diverse work styles. As part of this initiative, Google Workspace was selected through a bidding process and has now been launched as a new communication platform for approximately 5,000 employees.

Key Usage and Adoption Results

Utilization of Generative AI 'Gemini': Thanks to its ease of use and high response accuracy without requiring specialized skills, Gemini has rapidly gained traction among staff, achieving an active user rate of 75%. Its application spans various aspects of daily work, delivering tangible productivity improvements beyond traditional use cases such as meeting minutes creation.

Spontaneous Application Development by Staff: Employees are actively leveraging tools like Google Apps Script, Gemini, and Gem to develop custom applications for improving work efficiency.

Establishment of an Application Sharing Catalog: An 'Application Sharing Catalog' has been created on the internal portal site, allowing employees to register and access self-developed tools. This includes diverse utilities such as PDF merging/editing apps and EML file import tools for Gmail, all contributing to streamlining daily operations.
