Gekka Works Obtains ISMS Certification for Management of Communication Services for Medical and Nursing Professionals

Gekka Works Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeki Ohashi), a subsidiary of our company, obtained certification on April 13, 2026, for Information Security Management System (ISMS) under the international standard 'ISO/IEC 27001:2022' and the domestic Japanese standard 'JIS Q 27001:2023'. This certification covers the management of communication services provided for medical and nursing care professionals.

1. Background and Purpose While IT systems and networks have become essential social infrastructure, damage from targeted attacks and ransomware is increasing. Systemic mechanisms like ISMS are effective for protecting organizational information by maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Gekka Works has been operating 'Dokusiru,' a member-only web service for medical and nursing professionals to share information and find collaboration partners, since November 2023. As a provider handling medical-related information, the company has operated under a management system compliant with Japanese government guidelines (the '3 Ministries and 2 Guidelines'). To further strengthen security measures and ensure continuous improvement, the company has now obtained international ISMS certification.
