Kobe Kitano Sweets & Cafe, operated by GLION Group (President: Hidetake Kikuchi) and Aqua Ignis, has launched a new retail project titled '〇〇 no Otomo' (Marumaru no Otomo) at 'Kobe Kitano Nosta,' a gourmet complex housed in a renovated former elementary school.
This initiative, hosted within 'NOSTA CAFE,' centers on the theme of 'products that accompany daily dining scenes.' A team of buyers, baristas, and pastry chefs select items from across Japan based on their ability to complement other foods.
### First Collection Themes: Bread and Alcohol Accompaniments
**Bread Accompaniments:** - **Port Town Butter Cream (Kagoshima):** Features Salt Milk Butter (648 JPY), Cacao Butter (648 JPY), and An-Butter (864 JPY). These creams offer a unique salty-sweet profile perfect for toast. - **8℃ by Kimino Fruits (Wakayama):** Artisan jams including Hassaku orange, Mikan mandarin, Fuyu persimmon, and Nanko plum (864 JPY each). These low-sugar jams are slow-cooked at low temperatures to preserve natural flavors.
**Alcohol Accompaniments:** - **Pickles Lab Hokkaido (Hokkaido):** Offering Yuzu Ume Daikon and Spicy Garlic Zucchini (1,069 JPY each). These are additive-free, handmade pickles using select ingredients from Hokkaido.
While Kobe Kitano Nosta has primarily focused on on-site tourist experiences, this project was born from customer requests for items to enjoy at home or give as gifts, bringing high-quality regional tastes to everyday life.
