Seminar Details

Makito Hashiyama of Ubie Inc. serves as Engineering Manager and HR Business Partner (HRBP), concurrently leading AI implementation and the systematization of the performance evaluation framework. Within Ubie’s unique organizational structure—without middle managers and decoupling evaluation from compensation—he has built from scratch a system that entrusts performance evaluation to AI.

"Recalling six months of achievements just to write an evaluation," or "inconsistent evaluation standards across assessors"—these are common pain points shared by many HR professionals and executives.

At Ubie, the process is systematized: from accumulating activity data, to AI-generated evaluation drafts, to employee input and appeals, and AI re-evaluation. However, final approval is retained by the company’s representative. This design minimizes human involvement outside of critical decision points, fully embodying the 'Human-on-the-Loop' concept.

In this seminar, Hashiyama will disclose the design philosophy and implementation process of this evaluation system. Through a dialogue with Yuto Suzuki, CEO of overflow, they will deeply explore how Ubie clarified the purpose and philosophy of its evaluation system, the details of its dual grading system (performance grade × capability grade), and the future of HR and management in the AI era guided by the Human-on-the-Loop approach.

Rather than theoretical discussion, this session delivers practical evaluation logic and design processes currently in operation—offering actionable insights that attendees can apply to their own organizations.
